Jeddah – 15.07.2018 – Saudi Ground Services Company (SGS), the leading ground handling services provider of the 27 airports across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, has provided the best of its operational capabilities to serve pilgrims performing Hajj in 1439 AH. SGS has provided its capabilities and facilities for pilgrims’ comfort to confirm the progress of its work plan and to ensure smooth operation during Hajj season. Over 7,000 SGS employees, provide international standards’ services at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah and Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah, have witnessed the arrival of the first two Hajj flights on Saturday 14 July 2018 (1 Dhu- AlQeda 1439 AH).

SGS has also provided about 700 motorized ground handling equipment to serve the pilgrims in the ramps of King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah and Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah.

On this occasion, Eng. Omar Najjar, SGS’s CEO assured that: “SGS is working hard and is putting all its efforts to complete the arrival procedures of the pilgrims with international standards services.” “We have started this season to develop the necessary operational plans followed-up by periodic meetings to ensure the availability of all the operational needs with the coordination of all parties to facilitate the reception of the pilgrims and to make sure SGS meets all their needs,” he added.

It is worth mentioning that SGS served more than 28 thousand flights (arrival and departures) in last year’s Hajj 1438 H and handled more than 4.5 million pieces of baggage, with an increase of 19% more than last year (1437 AH).
